Albuquerque, N.M. – Today a jury in Bernalillo County returned verdicts of guilty for crimes committed by Wallace Carson. Carson also was found guilty of two counts of Promoting Prostitution and two counts of Accepting the Earnings of a Prostitute. He faces 33 years of imprisonment and could be subject to 64 additional years as a habitual offender.

Attorney General Hector Balderas commented on the verdict stating, “I am pleased that juries are willing to understand the complexity of human trafficking, and hold offenders accountable for preying upon those who are vulnerable and subjecting those individuals to unspeakable acts and violence in order to turn a profit. My office is committed to pursuing justice in these cases and protecting New Mexico’s most vulnerable populations.”
