Job Description:

The New Mexico Department of Justice is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Policy Analyst. The Policy Analyst will be responsible to review, evaluate, and research existing and proposed legislative and legal policies, provide data and analytics on policies proposals, and prepare recommendations and reports on policy analysis, legislative proposals, potential legal actions in-state, federally, and with other states. 

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in policy, legislative, and legal  analysis;

  • Must have high organizational and time-management skills; strong  analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills;

  • Good interpersonal and social skills;

  • Team player with a strong ability to contribute to a team  environment;
