Albuquerque, NM—Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas, with Auditor Brian Colón and
Treasurer Tim Eichenberg announced that they will be holding the Dream Bigger Summit on
disability rights and issues impacting people with disabilities. Taking place at Hotel Albuquerque
in Albuquerque on Monday, October 28, 2019, the full day summit will focus on creating a more
inclusive New Mexico. Presentations will include in-depth discussion from subject matter experts
in multiple focus areas, highlighting when people with disabilities are properly informed,
supported and protected, they can self-advocate and thrive in an inclusive environment.
“Advocating for people with disabilities and ensuring equal access to meaningful opportunities for
prosperity is one of my top priorities as Attorney General,” said Attorney General Balderas.
“Leaders across the State must come together and give a strong voice for all members of our
communities.”
“Anytime agencies can join one another in a coordinated effort to provide quality service to our
most vulnerable populations, whose needs cross multiple systems, we ensure New Mexicans
receive the effective and positive support they deserve from our state government,” added State
Auditor Brian Colón. “As State Auditor, and as a New Mexican who cares deeply for the people
in our great state, I am thrilled to participate in the Dream Bigger Summit hosted by the Office of
Attorney General.”
Treasurer Eichenberg echoed: “The State Treasurer’s Office is proud to be a part of the Dream
Bigger Summit. We have always been committed to creating a more inclusive New Mexico, and
we are thrilled with the opportunity to partner with the Office of the Attorney General and the
Office of the State Auditor to bring awareness of disability related issues and offer resources and
assistance to the wonderful people of our state.”

This seal is framed with gold gradient rope and a slim gold bar followed by a thicker dark blue circular bar that has white text that reads, "State of New Mexico" at the bottom and "Department of Justice" at the top. At the center of the seal is a gradient circle with a dark blue roman-inspired Pillar in the shape of New Mexico.
